Question: Does Algae grow in the winter?
Answer: Although the cooler weather will allow cooler water temperatures and algea growth will slow, given a day of rain followed by a day of sunshine, algea can cover a pool overnight. The rain will disapate chorine levels and lower the pH and alkilinity. This imbalance will allow Mustard Algae or Yellow Algea to flourish.
